hey guys when i capture with my Radeon 8500DV in MP2 format 6.0M 640x480 or 7.2M 720x480Mpeg2
my audio level is low whats the deal.. any other format, mpeg1,vcd,avi,ati vcr all record fine. i have to turn my Klipsch 5.1 w/ Audigy Platinum to 70-72ish to have any decent volume with no bass or emphasis, just to watch WRC.
and Hear my little Peugeot 206's!

whats the best format to capture with? I WANT TO BE ABLE TO RECORD A RACE WEEKEND of World Rally 4-4.2hrs worth of footage at around 10-15Gigs
WHAT SHOULD I CAPTURE WITH?
MY P4 can capture at 7.2M with 0 dropped frames or Less than 1% if something in the background kicks up.
Thanks

oh I also need to be able to edit it easy. cut and paste clips and trim commercials, and add audio tracks,

this is maybe because of your mpeg2 audio drivers. have you try to reinstall them or install a newer version?
