Need help- OS support for CDROM?

I'm building a computer and noticed the CDROM drive I want to put in it had OS support in its documentation for Windows 95/98, 2000, and NT but not XP, which is the OS I'm going with.

I've built computers before, but I've never really even noticed whether my OS was supported for IDE devices. I always assumed they would work and so far they have- perhaps I'm just lucky.

Do I have an issue here or should I go ahead and order the CDROM drive I'm looking at?

The information is probably just not updated enough to include XP.

I think CDROM just use generic driver that come with Windows. I never have any driver problem with CDROM drive.
