I have recently upgraded my WiFi adapter Netgear WNA3100 N300 Wireless USB Adapter to a much better NextG USB-Yagi Plug & Play 11N Long Range WiFi antenna 2200mW. Took my PC in the basement from 15% to 80%. Just wondering if there is any way I can force the new Yagi to use the software from the Netgear piece? The Ralink software that came with it is junk compared to the old Netgear one. Kind of doubting it's possible, but want to be sure. On Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

no you cannot use the netgear software on the yagi equipment. actually you shouldnt use any software with it. let windows manage your wireless connections.
