I have a Pansat 2500a and 4dtv and it`s connected to a splitter and a diseqc
switch.
I have doubled checked to make sure it`s hooked up correctly which it is.
The problem is I have to turn on my 4dtv and if the channel is vertical I
have to put my 4dtv in vertical to pick up the channel.
If I turn off my 4dtv I will lose my signal.
Is there any way I can use my pansat 2500a to watch programs without
turning on my 4dtv
If I put my Pansat 2500a on my primestar dish without hooking my 4dtv to the
Pansat I can switch any channel on that satellite and get the channel .
Thanks

No

When you power down the 4DTV it goes into a routine
looking for a digital channel from which to download maps
and other info. It does not matter what satellite the 4DTV
is looking at, it runs the routine. That is why it is switching
polarity when it is powered down.

The 4DTV uses the same amount of power when it is turned
off as when it is turned on, so turning it off doesn't accomplish
much other than running that routine.

You need to make a switch for the servo wires, which was discussed
recently in this newsgroup (see: "Pansat 2500a purchase" ).
