Network cable unplugged windows vista

I have windows xp and windows vista both
my pc is connected to router by ethernet cable Rj45
in windows xp it connects to router but in vista it look like lan is disebled
but i have checked all option not working at all
also LED's at port to CPu not light

Did this ever work? Did you check device manager to make sure the network card is installed and working properly? What are the "all option" that you checked?
