I have just moved into an apartment where Leviton has already pre-wired the network at home. There is a network jack on every wall. All of the wires end up lose in my bedroom closet and i have purchased a crimping tool, few RJ-45 jacks, a D-Link Gigabit switch and some Cat6 1 meter patch cables. Now what i want to do is, crimp the loose wires in my closet and plug them into the switch. So wherever i am, i should be able to plug in my patch cable on the network jack on the wall and hook up to my home network. All being said, what color code should i use to crimp my loose wires in the closet so that they connect to the switch?
