Netgear n600 wndr3700 cant connect to router

Hello,
I puchased the N600 WNDR3700v3 Dual Band Gigabit Router. I am able to see my wireless account I set up and is out there to connect to, but I cant connect. I can connect with an ethernet cord, but nothing wireless. It doesnt work for my home or work laptops. Prior to this I had another wireless set up and I am tempted to plug that one back in.

try changing the wifi security type to WEP-OPEN and see if you can connect.
