What services can be shut down in win 7 while gaming ?

I have an i5 750, P55 board, 1333 ram 4 gigs, 1 TB drive, and a GTS250 video card, I'm wondering what services can be shut down in windows 7 to help speed up the system or I guess free it up as much as possible?

I have only installed my Virus Protection service and I shut it down. Thanks in advance for any help.

Many of them - and by default Windows makes assumptions that leave far too many services running (in my opinion).
