Hi,

Is there any way to use the microphone and headset I have on my
computer to conduct converstations on my T610 via Bluetooth?

I'd like to place the T610 in a charging cradle close to a window for
better reception and be able to talk on it from my desk.

Thanks!
John

Not directly, since the PC would need a handsfree Bluetooth profile, which
isn't available AFAIK.

Get a Bluetooth headset.

John,

Thanks! Can you recommend a good bluetooth headset? I've heard there
are plenty of bad ones out there.

Thanks,
John

My personal favorite is the Sony Ericsson HBH-30 (often found for cheap on
eBay).

This is not entirely correct. Some PC's can act as BT headsets using
the bluetooth "Audio Gateway" service. I have tested it, and it works.
Not all PC BT adapters support this profile, though.

I can confirm that this works OK on my PC (TDK BT Adaptor) but I'm told the
clarity is very poor at the other end so a BT headset is probably the best
answer. I use a Jabra BT200 which I got for £20 but, as John say, the SE
ones are very good.

HBH-30 or the HBH-300? I also see an HBH-660 on the SE web site.

The HBH-660 looks cool because it has caller id on the headset.
What's the best bang for the buck?

John
