Hi there,

I have a Fortec receiver that has AC3 output. I guess I need some kind
of decoder, but really didn't need surround sound, just a way to play
it through a couple of speakers. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

To hear dolby digital you need a dolby digital decoder, aka av receiver with
a dolby digital decoder built in.

If you don't plan to watch any channels whose sound in dolby ac3,then you
can listen to the sound through normal means.
