I'm looking for any information regarding this graphics chip (ATI RS200M). It's in the new line of compaq customizable notebooks (presario 2100US) and can't find a darn thing about it. Is this suppose to be similar/better/worse to the ATI U1?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Chances are its more likely to be the new line of mobile ATI Radeon 8500 graphics chipsets.

Ahhh! It's 2003 and wait, whats this!? My computer didn't blow up! ... Well damn, there goes my new Athlon @ 333FSB and my inssurance claim... heheheh

The Mobility Radeon 9000 is based on the 8500 GPU. So with any luck it will be equipped with an ATI 9500-based GPU.

Who's General Failure and why's he reading my disk?

I believe the RS200M is just the same as Mobility Radeon? The intergrated graphics of the IGP340M and IGP320M.
Ever since Compaq joined with Hp their notebooks are almost identical.

Yes, it's not the new (not yet released) Radeon (R350) and it's not the M9 (Mobility Radeon 9000), so it must be the older "Radeon" as used in the IGP.
