Morpheus?

I didn't know where to post this so I just went here.

Whenever I start Morpheus it says I need to download the newest version from www.musiccity.com. www.musiccity.com does not work however. I downloaded Morpheus off of download.com and it still gives me the same message. Is Morpeus gone forever or what's the deal?

I just downloaded it and mine say the same thing. It did work for a few minutes the first time I turned it on. What's the next best thing?

I'd definitely recommend checking out WinMX. There's no bitrate limitation, like Morpheus had, and it works! It's like Napster, with a real cheezy interface. But, I think you'll switch after trying it.

yeah, seems like a lot of my downloads, meaning half of them or more, dont like to continue until they finish!! :frown:
oh well, i guess i should just go buy the cds.
ugh.
^this is using WINMX^
using the spyware, adware riddled KAZAA, which seems to pop up a "GATOR/GAIN" ad when i am browsing the internet..."TRY THIS CRAP OUT!" <font color=red>"NO THANKS"</font color=red>
yeah, so kazaa seems to finish them, maybe i am just getting a crappy connection to the WINMX server or something...
oh well.

When installing Kazaa, make sure you uncheck everything you can... I noticed SaveNow and New.Net especially can cause more headaches than they're worth. I use NIS's ad-blocker to keep those annoying pop-up ads at bay.

i think i figured out what it is...
i did uncheck everything in kazaa....but i dont think that is it.
today, i was fixing my sisters computer, and installing everything...
and then when i was installing divx, it said GAIN/GATOR sponsored version of divx.
so i think that is what it is .....pretty stupid...but oh well.
it better go away if i uninstall the divx player....
