Ask ur isp to provide u with wifi router/modem. If a network is already there subscribe and get something like ur security key, log in and surf. As, already answered by constepatdyak follow his/her instruction. U can also use a external wifi connector in form of wifi dongle ( usb). But u really dont need this as every modern laptop has one.

Don't use all capital letter!!!

Connect your wifi router/router modem combo and switch it on.

Swithc on your laptop's wifi and click on the 5 bar icon on the bottom right corner of your laptop (Window vista and 7).

Select the unsecured network and connect.

In command prompt, put in "ipconfig /all"

Look for address of default gateway and copy this down.

Put in address of the default gateway into internet browser.

Put in default user name and password (you can find this online or on the user manual). If you set one up but forgot, press the reset button and try this step with default user name and password again.

Once you are in the router's page, you can put in wifi security password as well as change the login password for the router. I suggest you to use WPA2 AES for the wifi. User name and password to access the internet should be provided by your ISP. Enter all of the user name and password (router login, wifi security and internet access), save the settings and exit.

This is a generic guide. Your set up can be significantly different.
