Step by step setup dsl gateway router westell 7500 gateway

Hello,
i am new to this but my router is a westell 7500cgateway and i really need help i cant connect to the internet and i went into the settings and it said to connect a dsl cable or something like that i know it was for the phone jack but it is connected. idk if i did right or not and if its wrong can someone show a step by step guide plz thnks

First thing to do is connect your Router Phone line cable to the first box that is on the phone system where it enters your house (ensure you have filter fitted too) and the other end to the router. If you can disconnect any extension phone sockets. Turn on the router and go back to Config and see if its changed.
