Error message install wireless internet hardware

I'm a newbie and my desktop is telling me I need to install wireless internet hardware. Is that something I buy and install? I am trying to connect to the internet through time warner cable wireless.

desktops typically do not have built in wireless. yes you will need to purchase a usb wireless adaptor. I would strongly recommend you run an ethernet cable from the cable modem to the computer though. it is a lot better than wireless.
