The latest firmware, R1J002, released ten days ago should have fixed
bugs in the 3g/2g handling.

Does any Voda shop do the upgrading?

My nearest - Epsom - is closed for refurbishment.

I have no idea about the policies for the .uk Vodafone shops. The
Swedish Vodafone shops can't do it, they send the phone away on a
weeklong journey to Stockholm. However, any dealer that is also an
Ericsson service point should be able to upgrade the V800. The new
firmware is available online from Ericsson and any authorised shop
should be able to download it.

Certain UK Voda shops do flashing - Basingstoke apparently does for
instance. Whether or not a closer one does or if they support the V800, I
don't know. A phone call to your nearest will hopefully yield further info.
CPW in Reading reflashed my K700 for me recently.

Thank people in advance? Thanking or cursing them afterwards at least
gives some feedback!
