What do u guys think of the specs and prices. This is my first custom machine, so your opinions are really helpful. These are the prices from mwave.com. SOYO K7V DRAGON+ $139.00 MAXTOR 40.0GB DX6L040J2 ULTRA-ATA 133 7200RPM 2MB BUFFER (Bare drive) $88.00 AHANIX AUDI XP (BLACK) MID TOWER (PENTIUM 4 READY) NO POWER SUPPLY 3x5.25" 2x3.5" 3x3.5"(hidden) W/ FRONT USB PORT Detail Specs $89.00 This is the link to this cases page http://direct.mwave.com/mwave/doc2/a14246.html AMD ATHLON XP 2100+ 1.73GHZ OEM W/O COOLING FAN $275.00 LITE ON 16X-DVD/48X-CDROM INTERNAL EIDE (Black) (Bare drive w/audio cable) $59.00 TEAC 1.44MB FLOPPY DRIVE-BLACK (Bare Drive) $19.50 PLEXTOR 40X/12X/40X EIDE INTERNAL CDRW (Black) $194.27 MATROX MILLENNIUM G550 DUAL 32MB AGP 2X/4X DDR MEMORY W/TV OUT & DVI (Retail) $119.00 KINGSTON KVR266X72C25/256 256MB PC2100 266MHZ CL2.5 ECC DDR DIMM $166.16 ENERMAX PEG365P-VE(FCA) 350W (PENTIUM 4 READY) UL & FCC POWER SUPPLY FOR ATX CASES $73.00 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (DSP/OEM)*Must be Purchased w/Hardware!!* Detail Specs $142.00 And with a 79.99 assembly fee the cost comes to about $1,443.92 I have never heard of this case manufacturer but I liked the way it looked and it was one of the few black cases on mwave. Has anyone heard anything on these cases. I have heard some bad things about the Matrox card, but I really would like to have a dual head card. Any other suggestions? This is also one of the few dual head cards at mwave. Also, the WINXP is a OEM version, what exactly does that mean. Does the WinXP cd still come with it? Thanks again for everyone's help on my PC search. Rudeboy More about : suggestions FatBurger March 22, 2002 8:07:37 PM I recommend against that CPU. Get one a bit cheaper, and unless you're overclocking, get the retail version (as it comes with a heatsink). I wouldn't bother with a Matrox. 2D quality is great, but for any kind of 3D, they suck hard. I'd recommend a Radeon 8500, since you want dual head. OEM just means you won't get a pretty box, and (as it says) you have to buy it with hardware. If you don't buy Windows, then the terrorists have already won! - Microsoft Can't find your answer ?
