Why sony vaio e series always hanging

i want to ask why my sony viao always hanging...sometime when i want to open the folder its hang a bit sir..i dont no why its happen..when i want to do something its always hang a bit..but it really annoying when that happen sir...please help me..

Look in event viewer for possible errors.
check hard drive for errors
You do have lots of memory, correct ?
repair-install your OS.

how i want to check hard drive for errors..?
yes..i have a lot memory..58.2GB still available at disk C..
how i want repair and install my OS?
please guide me sir...
