I have a sound blaster PCI 128 and since most of my computer surpassed it in quality (geforce 3, AMD Athlon 1GHz, 256mb ram etc..) it has become unreliable and unstable. It 'crackes' severely in 3d games, and I am sure it even slows down the frame rate (because on the rare occasion when I get it to work well the frame rates are much higher).

I am therefore thinking of buying a new one. So my question is - what is _the_ most reliable, powerful, stable, compatable sound card on the market? (money is _almost_ not an object)

In my opinion, the card you just described is Turtle Beach Santa Cruz

That is a nice <b><font color=green>Garbage Can</font color=green></b> you have there!

you might want to look at the hercules game theatre pro as well as what buddry suggested, they are based ont eh same chip it's just the gtxp has more connections. Personally I have the tbsc and love it. It actually works for me.

Are you joking or is that the actual name of a sound card?

And, thankyou, I'm very proud of my garbage can.
