SCSI Question

If I were to build a system with scsi, Im adding a PCI scsi controller, would that not decrease overall system performance considering it would be running on the PCI bus?

  1. How else would you connect a scsi card? Even ones build into motherboards are on the PCI bus. You should not be very limited by the PCI bus unless you use RAID or multiple drives at the same time. I can get upto 3 in RAID0 before I see any problems.....

  2. Are the IDE controllers on the PCI bus as well?

If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought, I wouldn't have thought so much.
