buzzing noise from new HD please help

i just built a computer with a western digital 120gb caviar hd with 8mb cache, and when i boot it i hear a small buzzing sound like a wire is stuck in a fan or something, for less than half a second. The hd seems to run fine, but this noise worries me, can anyone tell me if it's normal or not?

Is it the spin-up of the drive?

i believe that it is, i got one for my parents and one for myself, and just hooked up mine, it makes that same buzzing noise so i'm assuming it's normal, just wanted to make sure it was.
