Broken Sword: Angel of Death

Is there a patch for this game? When running on windows 7 64 bit (HP Pavillion i5) all the characters are black silhouettes.

I had already tried that patch but downloaded it again just to make sure. Unfortunately, it doesn't solve the problem - still black silhouettes.

It seems that a solution for this problem doesn't exist. Quite amazing with all the technology available to us.
