Radio humming noise

The other day, I turned on my receiver to listen to the radio and I
could hear a loud humming noise in the background on every station that
listened to. I then tuned into the CD, TV, and DVD channels and didn't
hear the humming noise. It just came from the radio. I'm trying to
figure out what it is and how to get rid of it.
