Hi, I was hoping someone could tell me how tolerant Marantz 140s are of
a 4 ohm load. I've heard that a few Marantz models from this era (eg:
2270) don't do to well with 4 ohm speakers and was wondering if the 140
might be an exception.

Thanks
-Ben

I would say just don't push it too hard until you know how it reacts, and
keep an eye on the heat given off by the heat sinks and above the power
transformer. Running very warm is a sign of trouble for most amps - don't
continue to use it if these conditions are noted.
