good morning i want to make a diy car tv antenna. but i dont know much
about antennas. the reason why i want to make this a diy is because..
i want an antenna that can be barely seen that has very good
reception.. can any one of u recomment a good websight on antenna
designs? i bought an external antenna and tested it on my van. the
design of the antenna i bought is the usual antenna u see on old
limousine's trunks. the boomerang shaped antenna.. the reception is
good but the problem is that this antenna seems to make my car so
high. i cant get into low ceiling parking lots.

actually i am installing not a car tv but a regular 15" lcd tv. so i
think house antenna designs would also work..

im looking for a guild on what material to use. which is to be
attached where. the shape of the antenna. the length. etc etc..
tnx:)

thanks for any input in this:)

If *you* can "barely see it" then the radio waves can
"barely see it" also. The more "stealth" an antenna is,
the less effective it is.

That is why you see "crank-up" styles. What is good for
traveling is NOT good for reception and vice-versa.
