Why does my command prompt appear and then disappear?
I have to solve this problem, please help me out..

not really sure what you are doing, but does the command window disappear after you enter a command ? - If so, enter cmd, then enter your command.

Double clicking on a batch file or command file will run then immediately exit, which is why the window opens and closes. Click start/run and type cmd.exe and run the batch/command file from there and the window will stay open.
