Best Buy Job Offer

Hello :hello: Now last week I have went in to Best Buy for two Job Interviews and was told that they would love to hired me and I will start off at 8.89
SO I did my drug screening and I don't smoke or drink but the background check is what I've been thinking about lately. I have a misdemeanor from 2008 of August.
Would that hurt me in my chances to get a job in Best Buy?

Now I know some misdemeanor in some states is like getting snap with a belt across your bottom but in Madison, Wisconsin I don't think they care.
Please tell me what you think about this.

  1. Nevermind, they didn't hired me due to a misdemeanor that I receive in July of 2008...Yes it did hurt my chances and I am going to file a complaint against BestBuy.
    But they would hired a person with a DUI for the second time... I think that is even worst than a misdemeanor....
  2. I tried tons of times to get a job at bestbuy as pc repair I am a+ and netplus certified. and still can't get a job there.
  3. To bad so sad. Its not Best Buys fault that you have a misdemeanor. Maybe they feel like you wont work good with people. Especially if it was an assault of some kind. It could be because of your bad grammar also.
  4. I would say it's due to the misdemeanor charge. It also depends on what it was for. Theft would be a big negative to me.
    I seriously doubt your complaint will do anything.
