Ok guys first of all HAPPY NEW YEAR.
I am having a few problems with an old type notebook. The internet service provider of my friend offers to him now internet connection through lan. The big deal is that this type of notebook does not have a lan card installed inside.
Another thing is that it has an USB port available. I have seen at another guy that he had something like a small cable connected at the usb port and at the other side of the cable there was a lan port. It was a very short thing and I do not remember the name how it is called. Now does anyone know what I need to do with this type of cable if I want to have Internet connection through lan since it was possible for the one I watched and I have found where to buy it.I mean do I need some special software and if yes can you give a link or some help. The operating system is windows me.
