I am inthe room upstairs and my pc doest have a wireless card, so i decided to try an use the telephone like as its an adsl connection. So i plugged my adsl fiter and
Modem into the line like you would usualy do. But my pc wont let
Me connect to the internet. I can connect
To my modems wireless as well as my friends via my phone. My cable from
Modem to pc is fine.

usually you need a username and password to authenticate to the ISP and only one login can be active at a time; therefore, what you are trying to do will not work.

get either a wireless card or a router that can be configured as a Client Bridge using DD-WRT firmware
