As usual, living on the trailing edge of technology keeps slapping me in the
butt.
YAMAHA, months after developing and releasing both the SAFEBURN system and
the CD TATOO trick... DUMPS THEIR WHOLE LINE OF COMPUTER-BASED CDRW DRIVES?
and this 18 months back.
I'm so out of it.

Anybody have or know where to get a Mac version of the 'j' series firmware
for a YAMAHA 4416 external drive?

I presume they asked the question - why make CD writers when you can make
DVD writers that also write CDs.

not so much that as completely KILLING their computer-based drive R&D&mfg
unit to go to stand-alone home-hifi-design units.

My DVD drives don't make nearly as reliable CD's as my Yamaha CRW-F1's.
Glad I bought a spare.
