Alesis BRC w/ Sonar

Does anyone know if it's possible to use an Alesis BRC adat controller
as a MIDI control surface for Sonar? For example, arming tracks, and
using transport buttons on BRC to control Sonar. This would actually
be used without any ADAT's. Just the BRC connected via a MOTU Midi
Express XTUSB 8x8. Can this work? Are there assignable MIDI controls
in Sonar to control arming tracks, and transport functions?
