So I'm thinking of building my own 1u serv, but with a nice dual xeon mb - Tyan Thunder i7500 (S2720)

They say it requires all this special stuff like an EPS12V power supply and current generation SSI EEB v3.0 server chassis.

I was looking into those special chassis and they are freaking expensive!!!!! One place was like 712 bucks (but soo so nice though). I would hope I can get away with 300 bucks or less.

Anyone know if you can get away with using a regular 1u rackmount ATX power supply and chassis (like the one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d [...] 33297016)?
