I just saw a press release with Seagate introducing its new hardrive for this fall and will support native serial ata interface.

So what are the real advantages of having serial ata?
and wouldn't you need a mobo with serial ata to support that?

Serial ATA has a higher transfer rate, but because the hard drive's won't be faster, it will have a minimal effect.
