Hard disk & Bios Passwordswords

Good day,
I'm new here and i hope i'm going about this correctly,but i recently got a used laptob from a friend abroad but just my luck both the Harddisk & the Bios seems to have passwords. Does anyone have any possible general password i could use to crack them.

baahh!@ good laugh, try taking out the cmos ship, and then starting the comp, after try to enter the bios that way, if you can continue with boot up on a cmos error you should just bea able to boot form a floppy that will allow you to format the dirve getting rid of the password. OR if your you really borad do your hacking homeowrk and youll get around it, (hit* its a jumper) or make a 80 pin ribbon cable and format it on an existing system.

It will work. Ive dont it atleast 5 times now
