i would like to pick up wireless internet using my linksys rourter is that possible

I assume what you mean is, you’re trying to access the open wifi signal from a neighbor or nearby cafe.

All you need to do is configure a wireless ethernet bridge and connect it to the WAN port of the Linksys.

{open wifi}<-- wireless -->[wireless ethernet bridge](lan)<-- wire -->(wan)[linksys]

There are many sources for such wireless ethernet bridges, here are some examples:

In each case, you'd configure it as a client bridge (aka, wireless ethernet bridge).
