I listened to a clip, I think it's a little creepy when his part comes in.

But then I didn't like his music much before he was dead, either.

I didn't think I should post this in alt.audio.pro.live-sound....

That's horrid in every way imaginable. Not only generally tasteless but
artistically. It makes Cher's "Believe" sound soulful and organic. I'm a
huge Conway fan. What a travesty.

He was an extremely good singer and songwriter.

Useful chap to have around if you are caught short, at least.

I heard part of it on NPR this morning. Regardless of how you feel about Conway
Twitty and/or his music, "cannibalizing" his work solely for commercial purposes
is disrespectful, to say the least.

I suspect Conway Twitty will be remembered more for having his name parodied in
a popular musical than anything else.

He only has himself to blame for that.

You may not like his music and that's your right, but he was one helluva
business man. Starting in his early rock 'n roll days, he manage to recreate
himself and his career several times. My experiences with him remind me he
should be remembered as one of the good guys. Honest and loyal to not only his
fans, but to the musicians who worked with him and the music industry.

You mean the vinyl "preacher hair" he used to have? Then he went to the
perm. I'm serious though. You won't find a better singer or songwriter in
country than Conway.

Oh Conway! I saw it on B'way in 1961 or 2.
Van Dyke had left, Gene Rayburn diid the lead.
Paul Lind was in it too. It was cute and a lot of laughs.
I was going to "re-write" a folk song, that was a hit record, from
around that time. SO SING ALONG!
"If I had a 632 dollar hammer, I could puverize a 326 dollar
toy-oy-oy-oy-let." I KNOW YA KNOW IT.
