I'm not sure if this is the one I saw at either this past January's
NAMM show or the previous one, but I was quite impressed with the
differnce when the amplifier was moved from the floor to the "cabinet
back."

Two (main) things happened. First, more sound came out the front so
the volume increased, and second, there was more bottom end. A side
benefit for on-stage use is a little lower volume toward the back of
the stage.
