Only 1 IDE cable

Dumb question. Can I run my cdrom and my HD on the same cable? I only have one and it will take a week to get another.

Yes you can.

Attach the CD-ROM to the middle connector, make sure the jumper on the CD-ROM is on the SL point and go into the BIOS to re-detect the hardware.

Note that you will see some performance decrease however.

Thanks guys. It seems to work ok for now. It's only for web surfing anyway.
