Hi,
I finally fixed the problem I had with the digitiser screen (link
provided below) by unscrewing the back of the m505 and disconnecting
the battery. I should have done this instead of discharging the
battery as others have recommended. It fixed everything completely.
However, the problem now is that in the process of removing the back
plate, one of the small torx screws has become bald and I'm unable to
screw this back in.
Does anyone know if there is a place either in the UK or elsewhere
which sells the small torx screws for the m505? I checked the
www.gethightech.com but for some reason their m500 series screws state
that they are NOT for m505s...!
So if anyone know of a place where I can buy just one (or 4 if they
sell only in sets) torx screws please let me know...
(Better yet, if some kind soul in the UK with a faulty m505 that's
sitting around doing nothing would like to offer one of the screws to
me, I'll pay for it!)

ok, I missed that, how about a broken/dead m505 for 10 - 20 bucks or
any other dead PDA that uses the torx screws

I suggest you try a hardware store!
You just need to match the screw length/thread/diameter and I am sure
a full hardware store should have it. You do not even need a torx one.

If that doesn't work, you might try a bolt supply store. I don't know
that the things are the same in the UK, but I live in a decent-sized
city, although not a big city, and we have at least two businesses
that specialize in bolts and fasteners. At least twice I've found
things there that were unavailable at hardware stores or car dealer
parts departments.
