Had my K750i for just under a month now, and have to say that on the whole I
am very pleased with it. The 2MP camera is a peach, the screen is bright and
clear, and its nice to be able to use mp3 ringtones. However the main reason
i wanted this phone was that I was under the impression that you could store
your sms's on the memory card. (hence i bought a 512MB sony card in the hope
that it would be a long time before i would get a memory low warning).

This weekend I was surprised when i phone said the memory was full. In total
I had 99 messages, although most of these are extended messages, i.e. 2 to 3
messages in length (from my inbox and sent messages). Is there any way of
being able to use the memory stick instead of the phone memory for storing
sms.

tek.

I also have the K750i, I think over 2 years now, and I experiment a lot with my cell phone.
It is possible to extend your sms limit to 24521. I did this by overwriting a file in my cell phone memory.
You can also store your sms's in your card but I would not do that because if you connect your pc to your cell phone, your pc reads the card and your cell phone is not able to read the sms's from your card.
But I think 24 000 sms's is lager enough.
So how do you need to do this: (be careful and don't delete other files!!)
You download the program XS++, and the usb driver of your cell phone: "D750_K750_W800_Update_Service_USB_driver" that contains two files called EPIUSB.
First you install the driver on your pc.
Then you run the XS++ program.
You wil see "connect" and select port must be "USB"
Of course you will need your usb cable but this one should be delivered with the cell phone.
Power off you cell phone get out the battery, put the battery back in pres de "c" butn while the cell phone is turned off. and while you press the "c" butn you connect the usb cable.
If everything goes right the program XS++ will be connected to your cell phone. The program will say something like "Ready for operation!"
Now you dot on FSX in the configuration window, and then you press "start FSX", and wait a while.
While you are waiting you can create a txt file called: pref_store.txt
In this text file you type: "/tpa" without the quotes of course.
Now you go back to XS++ an you will see your cell phone file system. (if not wait some more)
Now you will need to go to the map: /ifs/settings/messaging/
In this map you will see the file: pref_store.txt.
This file you overwrite with your own created txt file, by clicking "Upload" and selecting your own created file.
If this file is uploaded you press the "shutdown" butn remove the usb cable and power on your cell phone.
Now you will have a space of over 24000 sms's.
Good luck!!
