Question concerning use of a flash drive

Hello,
I have a staples relay flash drive on my dell latitude
E-6500 I have down loaded info on it and when I try to recover the info i get no message or icon to tell me it is working I bought it 2 months ago could you tell me what the steps are to use it?

First off try it in a different computer and see if you have the same issue. This way you'll find out if it's something with the USB drive or if the issue is the computer.
