I was trying to find out if i add an external converter to a sound card
then does the sound card afffect the signal from the converter as it is
recorded in the software. Can I get the exact signal from the converter
recored into my software (like Cubase).

If it is possible then can i do it with any sound card with a digital
input or do do i need a special sound card. Which sound cards then can
do this, like the MOTU 2408 MKII, can it do this. Thanks.
