Using Laptop Wi Fi as Router

Hello,I have followed most similar youtube instructions to turn my Toshiba Laptop into a hotspot (router). It seems to show the SSID I made as OK in the network but no WiFi appliance can find it. I am using USB Wireless Broadband Internet . is that a problem
