Modem to switch to wireless access point

Hello,

I have a modem connected to a switch which I want to connect to a wireless access point. The modem to switch to computer works fine .. the wireless acces point does not.

It is a Comcast (cable) SMC Networks modem ... don't have the model number

sounds like you have a modem/router you will need to change the IP of the AP to match the IP scheme of the modem/router

Yes, I tried that ..... To try to log into the AP I hooked the AP to a computer, changed the computer IP to a static IP (192.168.0.210) and then tried to access the AP using the device specified IP (192.168.0.233) but no luck.
