THG had an article on the DuoConnect USB/Firewire card.
In the article I read that there was a problem with shared IRQs. I am having a PnP problem with this card on my TH7II-RAID mobo. PnP detects another device on the PCI bus about thirty times when the DuoConnect is installed. Looking at the User manual for the TH7II-RAID I notice that PIRQ0-3 are all shared like this:
PIRQ0: AGP, PCI1, PCI5
PIRQ1: PCI2, AC97, LAN
PIRQ2: HPT370(RAID), USB2, PCI3
PIRQ3: USB1, PCI4
I would like a second opinion before I start manually changing PIRQs. I was thinking of disabling USB2 on PIRQ2 and switching USB1 to PIRQ2 where USB2 used to be. That would leave PIRQ3 open for PCI4 only. I am assuming that the unshared IRQ is needed for the DuoConnect because it has three devices. Two USB2.0 controllers and a firewire controller. Anyway, let me know what you all think about my solution and/or give me other suggestions.
