Looking for software that will put out a sine wave from 40Hz to 20Hz. Prefer
it to be free but if I gotta shed out a few bucks I'll do it.

The free version doesn't do a sweep, but you can generate individual
frequencies and measure the result.

If you are on the mac, Audio Ease has an extraordinary one called
"Make a test tone" . Does 24 bit sweeps etc and is FREE.

http://www.vb-audio.com has a generator for Windows that's very
complete, including sweeps. Look all the way down at the end of the
Freeware section of the home page.

Also, NTI (http://www.nt-instruments.com) has a cool Flash version of
the Minirator for free. It (like the Minirator) "sweeps" in steps
rather than continuous - good for overall frequency response testing
but not so good if you're looking for a resonance.
