Xbox wont connect to network.

i just got a new router with a new name and password. When i connected my Xbox to the new router via an ethernet cable both the Xbox and the router refuse to connect. When i go to system settings and choose wired network all it dose is tell me to connect the Xbox to the router which it already is!! please help!! dose nobody know what i can do!?!?!?!?!?!

Make sure the XBOX is configured w/ DHCP and not a static IP. Also, make sure UPnP (Universal Plug-n-Play) is enabled on the router.
