Hello !

My Palm V has just about had the biscuit. I believe the screen is loosing
it's sensitive because almost everytime I turn it on I have to re-initialize
it. I've been looking at the clie T35 on of the options is the built in MP3
player, can anyone offer any experiences as to how good this is. Does it
drain the batteries in a vary quick period of time, how many songs can you
put on it, would you buy this unit again ?

Thanks &
Take Care

AFAIK you can't put any tunes on the device, they go on the memory
stick, yes it drains the battery faster than 'regular use'. Don't know
if the clie actually plays in stereo or just double sided mono. If you
want good quality mp3 playback, get a good quality mp3 player, the mp3
option on a PDA is just that, an extra because it has the horsepower
and tech capabilities to pull it off, but it's not the main focus.

IMHO TJ-35 is a v.good mp3 player. It plays in stereo using headphones.

My TH55 is a great MP3 player. Depending on the size of card you get, you
can store hours and hours of MP3's. I have a 512 MB MS Pro I just bought. I
have about 55 songs taking up 142 MB as I dropped the bitrate down to 96K.
They still sound quite good at that bitrate, but you keep them 128K for full
CD-quality sound.

As for battery life, if you blank the screen or even just turn off the
backlight it seems to last forever. I've never even come close to draining
the battery on a flight, so I can't give exact numbers on that. I do know
that my battery typically lasts about 10 hours with normal use, though (some
wi-fi, hotsyncs, PIM apps, etc.).

I used to have a T3 and it was a great player as well. Battery life was not
anywhere near the TH55, but it lasted plenty long for listening to music. I
sold my dedicated MP3 player after I got the T3.
