I purchased some OCSystem Expeditious Gamer Series PC2700 333MHz CAS 2/CL2 1T DDR SDRAM from www.ocsystem.com. OCSystem brags that this RAM is capable of these optimal timings CAS 2 5-2-2 1T command. I cannot get these timings to work on my Gigabyte 7VRXP. The timings don't even work at 266MHz as opposed to the desired 333MHz. I realize that this RAM is not "supposed to work at 333MHz and these aggressive timings, but they are supposed to work at 266MHz.

SiSoftware Sandra gives me this information about my DIMMs:

Samsung M3 68L3223CTL-CB3 256MB 8x(32Mx8) DDR-SDRAM PC2700U-2533-700 (CL2.5 upto 167MHz) (CL2 upto 133MHz)

They have copper heat spreaders on them and are installed in the 1st and 3rd slots b/c I thought it would be better for heat dissipation, though I fear this might cause trouble.

Any idea why the memory won’t work at these timings on a board that is supposed to be able to use really fast Memory timings?

As I noted the RAM is 2x Samsung M3 68L3223CTL-CB3 256MB DIMMs. I believe you are confusing OCZ Tech with OC Systems.
