try another browser to see if the browser the issue. with new web browser like ie you sometime have to turn the plug ins on for them to work. the other issue is most avi video you see on the net is compressed now and you need plug is called divx to uncompress the video if it movies your trying to watch. (be a black screen window you hear the movie play but no video).
